Pete Wennick is a lawyer and investigator for his law firm. He doesn’t take the job particularly seriously, although he is good at it, and his boss is usually frustrated with him: “You’re supposed to be studying law. You’re supposed to make investigations. You’re a cross between a sublimated law clerk and a detective.” He likes women’s legs and notices them, often. His secretary Mae Devers is his suffering girlfriend.
