Migraine, Ed. Ed Migraine was created by Erle Stanley Gardner (Black Barr, Major Copley Brane, Terry Clane, Bertha Cool, Ken Corning, Speed Dash, Jax Keen, Barney Killigen, Bob Larkin, Lester Leith, Señor Lobo, The Man in the Silver Mask, Perry Mason, Patent Leather Kid, Phantom Crook, Paul Pry (II), Doug Selby, Pete Wennick, White Rings, Gramps Wiggins, Bob Zane, Sidney Zoom) and appeared in three stories in Double Detective in 1939 and 1940, beginning with “A Headache for Butch” (Double Detective, Dec. 1939).
Ed Migraine is a Con Man. He is a soldier-of-fortune turned vigilante who works in the Robin Hood mode and steals from rich criminals and redistributes their wealth, or simply turns them in for their reward. He always smiles and is good with sword and guns. He works with Duke “the Dip” Renton.
