Sam. Sam was created by the Spanish creator José Canellas Casals (Amiel, Armando, Jaime Bazán, Black (III), Carlos and Marcos Bon, Bronkos, Cesar, Judit, Thalma Klan, Mario, Nick, Red Circle, Rin-Tin-Tin (I), Sankro, Spaceman (II), Titán (II), Toby, Capitán Velez, Mack Wan, Fernando Zabal, Zimbra, Khun Zivan) and “Kif,” the pseudonym of Marc Farell (Corsair X, Isaak & Benjamin, Margaret, Pablo & Sidney, Red Circle, Titán (II), Toby, Mack Wan, Khun Zivan), and appeared in the comic strip “Sam el Gigante en la Terrible Isla de los Hombres-Caimanes” (La Risa Infantil, 1934-1935?).
Sam is a South Seas Adventurer. The loin-cloth wearing Sam gets involved on the side of the Caiman Men in their war against the evil Leopard Men. South Seas adventures follow. Sam saves his love interest (and Woman-in-Danger) Estrella from, variously, dangerous natives, crocodile-men, and leopard-men, among others.
