Armando. Armando was created by the Spanish creator José Canellas Casals (Amiel, Jaime Bazán, Black (III), Carlos and Marcos Bon, Bronkos, César, Thalma Klan, Judit, Mario, Nick, Red Circle, Rin-Tin-Tin (I), Sam, Sankro, Spaceman (II), Titán (II), Toby, Capitán Velez, Mack Wan, Fernando Zabal, Zimbra, Khun Zivan) and appeared in Armando el Intrepido #1-3 (1941).
Armando is a brave and intrepid young Spanish explorer and adventurer who fights a variety of evils and monsters in Europe and North Africa. He deals with hereditary curses, subterranean castles, dueling aviators, scientific experiments that unleash magical enchantments, living statues, SCIENCE! x-ray machines, and fantastic animals dissected by Evil Surgeons. Armando appears in stories with titles like “The Castle of Marvels.”
