Van Dyk, Peter. Peter van Dyk was created by Frederick C. Davis (Donald O’Keefe Adams, Bill Brent, Duke Buckland, Carter Cole, Dennis Dayle, Murray Gifford, Cyrus Hatch, Mark Hazzard, Jingling Kid, Guy Kerry, Paul Kirk, Show-Me McGee, Moon Man, Operator #5, Radigan, Ravenwood, Secrets, Inc., Peter Trapp II) and appeared in a number of stories in Secret Agent X, beginning with “Fanged Fury” (Secret Agent X, Feb. 1934).

Peter van Dyk is a tall, gaunt professor who lives in a secluded mansion miles outside of Los Angeles. He is an explorer by trade who takes an expedition into the tropics every year, and returns with unusual animals, such as the flying snake of Matto Grosso.
