Webster, Daniel. Daniel Webster was created by Richard B. Sale (Cobra (I), Daffy Dill, Candid Jones, Captain McGrail, Penny Packer, Calamity Quade) and appeared in Lazarus Number Seven (1942), Passing Strange (1942), and Benefit Performance (1946).

Daniel Webster is a police detective in Hollywood. However, the crimes he deals with are average ones, involving ordinary people, rather than actors and producers. Webster is a neatly-dressed man in his forties, average height, with “extremely shrewd eyes and the tight mouth of a nonconversationalist.”
