Uncle Sam's Boys. Uncle Sam's Boys were created by H. Irving Hancock (Dave Darrin, Li Shoon, Frank Manley, Motor Boat Club, Dick Prescott, Tom Reade, Square Dollar Boys) and appeared in the eight-book “Boys of the Army” series, beginning with Uncle Sam's Boys in the Ranks or, Two Recruits in the U.S. Army (1910) and concluding with Uncle Sam’s Boys Smash the Germans (1919).
Uncle Sam’s Boys are “Bunny” Hepburn and Jud Jeffers, two patriotic American teens. They are active with the U.S. Army, first in the Philippines and then in Europe during World War One.
