Roxo, João. João Roxo was created by the Portuguese author Reinaldo Ferreira (Herculano Calafaia, Dr. Duque, Fresquinho, Gil Goes, Jim-Joyce, João of Portugal, Juca, Kiá, Musketeer of the Air, John Nobody, Ralph Williamson) and appeared in a number of stories in Novela Policial and the play O Fantasma de Nicola in 1930 and 1931.

João Roxo is a Great Detective. He is the “Portuguese Sherlock” of Lisbon in 1780 and solving crimes for the Intendência-Geral da Policia da Corte e do Reino.

Roxo appears in stories with titles like “The Black Man” and “Freira Diavolo.”
