Murdock, Kent. Kent Murdock was created by George Harmon Coxe (Paul Baron, Flashgun Casey, Jack Fenner, Max Hale, Sgt. Jansen, Paul Standish, Tom Wade) and appeared in twenty-three novels from 1935 to 1973, beginning with Murder with Pictures.

Kent Murdock is a photographer for the Boston Courier-Herald and is called to many crime scenes in the course of his job. Much of the time he can solve the crime better than the police can. Of course, much of the time Murdock is suspected of a crime and has to find the criminals to clear himself. He is married to Joyce Archer, a smart woman and capable detective in her own right (although she disappeared after the sixth novel). Murdock is often assisted by Jack Fenner.
