Fenner, Jack. Jack Fenner was created by George Harmon Coxe (Paul Baron, Flashgun Casey, Max Hale, Sgt. Jansen, Kent Murdock, Paul Standish, Tom Wade) and appeared in twelve novels from 1935 to 1975, beginning with Murder With Pictures.

Jack Fenner is a hard-boiled, hard-drinking, cynical, two-fisted private detective who teams up with Kent Murdock as well as solves cases on his own. Fenner is a “slim, wiry man with a pale, wedge-shaped face and alert, agate eyes.” He works in Boston.
