Marston, Isabel. Isabel Marston was created by “H.M. Egbert,” the pseudonym of Victor Rousseau Emmanuel (Jim Anthony, Ivan Brodsky, Clifford, Ronald Gowan, Phileas Immanuel, King of Knaves, King’s Courier, Professor MacBeard, Dr. Martinus, Pennell, Shawm, Thorne, Mr. X), and appeared in six stories in Cassell’s Magazine of Fiction in 1912 and 1913, beginning with “The Kidnapped Cabinet Minister” (Cassell’s Magazine of Fiction, Sept 1912).
Isabel Marston, “star reporter,” is a crack newshound for a London daily. She solves crimes and reports on them in equal measure.
