King of Knaves. The King of Knaves was created by “H.M. Egbert,” the pseudonym of Victor Rousseau Emmanuel (Jim Anthony, Ivan Brodsky, Clifford, Ronald Gowan, Phileas Immanuel, King’s Courier, Professor MacBeard, Isabel Marston, Dr. Martinus, Pennell, Shawm, Thorne, Mr. X), and appeared in twelve stories in The Blue Book Magazine in 1911 and 1912, beginning with “The Robinson Diamonds” (The Blue Book Magazine, Mar. 1911).

The King of Knaves is a Lupin with a fetish for precious stones and a desire to right wrongs, as long as it profits him.
