Gold, Max. Max Gold was created by Octavus Roy Cohen (David Carroll, Chew Evans, Jim Hanvey, Eric Peters, Florian Slappey) and appeared in Danger in Paradise (1945), Love Has No Alibi (1946), and Don’t Ever Love Me (1947).

Max Gold is a “hard as a rock” Lieutenant on the N.Y.P.D. Homicide Squad. Gold is brisk, efficient and business-like, if hardly brilliant or exceptional in any way. He worked with Jim Hanvey before Hanvey left the N.Y.P.D.
