Fawn, Fenlock. Fenlock Fawn was created by William Murray Graydon (Carfax Baines, Sexton Blake, Derek Clyde, Gordon Fox, Abel Link, Matthew Quin, Will Spearing) and appeared in at least twelve stories in Union Jack and Sexton Blake Library (First Series) from 1907 to 1917, beginning with “The Rival Detectives” (Union Jack #170, Jan. 12, 1907).
Fenlock Fawn is a Great Detective. Fawn usually appears in Sexton Blake stories as Blake’s American counterpart, but Fawn is the lead character in other stories. Fawn is a New York City-based consulting detective and is described as “America’s foremost investigator.”
