Rason, Inspector J. Inspector J. Rason was created by “Roy Vickers,” the pseudonym of William Edward Vickers (Department of Dead Ends, Fidelity Dove, Dixon Hawke, Sefton Kyle, James Segrove), and appeared in a number of stories and twenty novels and short story collections from 1921 to 1954, beginning with The Mystery of the Scented Death.
Inspector J. Rason is a What’s All This, Then. Detective Inspector (later Inspector) J. Rason who works for Scotland Yard and for Sir William Sakeman. In later books Rason works with the Yard’s Department of Dead Ends.
