Gill, Geoffrey. Geoffrey Gill was created by “Ivans,” the pseudonym of the Dutch author Jacob van Schevichaven (May O’Neill, Gerard van Panhuis), and appeared in thirty-three novels and four plays from 1922 to 1936, beginning with De Man Uit Frankrijk.

Geoffrey Gill is a Great Detective. Gill works in England and is Watsoned by Willem Hendriks, his Dutch lawyer friend. Gill eventually marries May O'Neill and in one case works with Gerard van Panhuis.
