Van Panhuis, Gerard. Gerard van Panhuis was created by “Ivans,” the pseudonym of the Dutch author Jacob van Schevichaven (Geoffrey Gill, May O’Neill), and appeared in six novels from 1931 to 1932, beginning with De Heer van den Dennenberg.

Gerard van Panhuis is a Dutch amateur detective. After his parents go bankrupt in the global Depression van Panhuis leaves home and becomes an agent of House Dennenberg. An inventor working for the House has created a noiseless drone plane, but a German spy is after it, and van Panhuis is forced to stop him. Further espionage-related adventures follow, with van Panhuis using the resources of House Dennenberg to help him fight spies and crime in Europe, Scotland, and the Riviera.
