Christmas, Captain. Captain Christmas was created by Stacey Blake (Selston Leigh, John Silver) and appeared in a number of stories in a number of English story papers from 1911 to at least 1929, possibly beginning with “A Great Discovery” (The Penny Pictorial Magazine, Dec. 12, 1911).

Captain Christmas is an Africa Hand. Captain John Christmas (also known as “Captain X”) is a stout officer of the British Empire, defending Britain and all things white from the attacks of wicked African natives. Christmas is active across Africa, fighting against Arabs and Ashanti and keeping the peace through superior weaponry.
