Wraithlea, Commander. Commander Wraithlea was created by the Australian author P. Walker Taylor and appeared in seven novels from 1936 to 1944, beginning with Murder in the Flagship.

Commander Wraithlea is a Navigating Commander and amateur detective in the Royal Navy. He is in his late thirties (later his forties) and is bald and whimsical and facetious, but also effective as a detective. During World War Two he does his share to fight Jerry.
