Will o’ the Whips. Will o’the Whips appeared in a number of stories in The Startler in 1930, beginning with “Dead Man’s Bush” (The Startler, Apr 19, 1930).

Bill Willow is a British wanderer in Australia. He’s been in Australia long enough to know everything about the natives and their weapons, and he uses that knowledge, and his extreme skill with a bullwhip, to fight crime and criminals, both native and white. He is assisted by his chum Chuck Kirby, and in a later series of adventures by Harry Stevens.
