Weaver, Ted S. Ted S. Weaver was created by “David Keith,” the pseudonym of Francis Steegmuller, and appeared in A Matter of Iodine (1940) and A Matter of Accent (1943).

Ted S. Weaver is a Disabled Detective. Weaver, a World War One veteran, was overcome by an attack of polio while driving his wife and child. The resulting accident killed them, and the polio left Weaver with paralyzed legs. Years of depression followed, to be relieved only when his brothers-in-law connived to send him to Paris on business. While there he is drawn into a Frenchman’s vendetta against a German soldier. He later solves a murder case in New York.
