Skimmer. Skimmer was created by Roy J. Snell (Jimmie Drury, Kituk, Radio Phone Boys) and appeared in the two-book “Skimmer” series, beginning with Skimmer and His Thrilling Adventures (1919) and concluding with Skimmer, the Daring, in the Far North (1919).

Skimmer is a teenaged soldier with the American Expeditionary Force in France during World War One and in northern Russia during the attempt to suppress the Reds in Russia after the War.
