Silas, Dr. Dr. Silas was created by the Spanish author Carlos Euxenio Baylín Solana and appeared in Letras, El Doctor Silas no Recibe (1938) and Tragedia sin Nombres (1940).

Dr. Silas is an English physician under a voluntary exile to Greece. In his two appearances he is forced to use his cunning and medical skill to solve crimes which may have been committed by any number of subjects from any number of countries.
