Richard the Lion-Hearted. Richard I (1157-1199) was King of England from 1189-1199 and fought in the Third Crusade. He appeared as the hero of the Spanish dime novel Corazon de Leon #1-18 (1930?).

Corazon de Leon portrays Richard in a romanticized way, as a straightforward adventuring knight fighting the Paynim threat.
