Nygaard, Nils. Nils Nygaard was created by the Norwegian author Fridtjof Knutsen (Olav Kvaalen) and Lalli Knutsen and appeared in Förstebetjenten tar Ferie (1943), Döden Spiller Chopin (1943), and Med Förstebetjenten på Bryllupsreise (1943).

Nils Nygaard is a Forstebetjent (police officer) in Oslo. He is “big and heavy” and apparently unintelligent, which he uses to his advantage in solving cases.
