Longarm, Colonel. Colonel Longarm appeared in the German dime novel Oberst Longarm #1-15 (1906-1907).

Colonel Longarm is the white chief of the "Indian Police" and is charged with maintaining the peace on the Indian reservations. Longarm is a good man who fights the evil natives and never the good ones, as well as various other bad men--pirates, train robbers, the Klan, the Mafia, and the like.

Colonel Longarm appears in stories with titles like “Monk Jose, the Railroad Bandit,” “The U-Boat Pirate,” and “Under San Francisco."
