Kirby, Kate. Kate Kirby was created by J. Searle Dawley and appeared in the films Chelsea 7750 (1913), An Hour Before Dawn (1913), and The Port of Doom (1913).

Kate Kirby is the beautiful young daughter of a police detective. When some counterfeiters kidnap her as revenge for her father’s activities, she turns the tables on them and then becomes a police detective herself. She goes undercover to catch murderers and helps prevent shipwrecks.
