Jelling, Arthur. Arthur Jelling was created by the Italian author Giorgio Scerbanenco (Signor X, Tomy) and appeared in five novels from 1940 to 1943, beginning with Sei Giorno di Preavviso.
Arthur Jelling is an American archivist working for the Boston Police Department in a Boston which is remarkably similar to Rome. Jelling is an alienated, introverted, aloof anti-hero who solves crimes despite not feeling strongly about justice.
