Giant Buddha. Giant Buddha was created by the Japanese film director Edamasa Yoshiro and appeared in the film Daibutsu Kaikoku (1934).

Daibutsu Kaikoku was Japan’s first kaiju film and features a giant statue of the Buddha which comes to life and begins walking around, striking awe into all those who see it.
