Garth, Graydon. Graydon Garth was created by “Sidney Drew,” the pseudonym of Edgar J. Murray (Royston Drake, Ferrers Lord), and appeared in a number of stories in Big Budget and Detective Library from 1902 to 1919.

Graydon Garth was Drew’s attempt to repeat the success of his Ferrers Lord stories; Garth is a lift of Lord. Garth is a wealthy adventurer who is known as the "Statesman, Empire Builder, and Leader of Men." He takes his steam yacht, the Vanessa, around the world, assisted by Terry Muldoon, the son of the Vanessa’s captain.
