Ford, Jerry. Jerry Ford was created by “Fenworth Moore,” the pseudonym of Harriet S. Adams and Edna C. Squier, and appeared in the four-book “Jerry Ford Wonder Stories” series, beginning with Wrecked on Cannibal Island, or, Jerry Ford's Adventures Among Savages (1931) and concluding with Prisoners on the Pirate Ship, or, Jerry Ford and the Yellow Men (1932). Jerry Ford is a brave teenaged adventurer who fights cannibals in New Guinea, discovers gold in the "Caves of Mystery" in the Himalayas, fights "Eskimaux" and polar bears in the Arctic Circle, and fights Chinese and Malaysian pirates in the China Sea.
