Focus, Ranger. Ranger Focus was created by the South African author Norman Lee and appeared in at least two cartoons in 1917, beginning with The Adventures of Ranger Focus (1917).

Ranger Focus is a lazy South African cameraman whose drinking and misbehaving lead to wacky misadventures, including a stampede leading to the defeat of the Germans in a battle.
