Fenby, Inspector. Inspector Fenby was created by Richard Hull and appeared in The Murderers of Monty (1937) and Beyond Reasonable Doubt (1941).

Inspector Fenby of Scotland Yard is short, insignificant-looking, and usually labors under the perception that because he is short and insignificant-looking other members of the force are looking down on him and doubting his authority. Fenby is smart, and is sympathetic about the forces which drive men and women to crime.
