Copperhead. The Copperhead was created by Franklin Adreon (Boroff, Daredevils of the Red Circle, The Lightning) and appeared in the film serial The Mysterious Doctor Satan (1940); he later appeared in the comic El Misterioso Doctor Satan #1-3 (1943).

The Copperhead is a Costumed Avenger. Bob Wayne’s father was an outlaw who fought for justice. But he died at the hands of Doctor Satan, a Mad Scientist who wants to CONQUER THE WORLD! Wayne vows to carry on his father’s fight and puts on the costume of the Copperhead, complete with a snakeskin cowl, to do so. As the Copperhead Wayne fights Dr. Satan and prevents him from constructing and controlling an army of killer robots. Wayne wins and Dr. Satan dies.
