Clark, Red. Red Clark was created by Gordon Young (Don Everhard, Hurricane Williams) and appeared in thirteen serials and thirteen novels from 1930 to 1949, beginning with “La Rue of the 88" (Adventure, Dec. 30, 1925).

Red Clark is the son of Sheriff Clark, in Tulluco, out on the frontier. Red is a bit of a hell raiser, but when he is approached by a friend of his father, asking for help in solving a murder, Red can’t help but go along, and with some guile, two large fists, and a quick draw, Clark solves the mystery, despite temporarily being made into an outlaw. He then goes on to solve various other frontier mysteries, assisted by Billy Haynes and Tom Jones.
