Brain. The Brain was created by Norman Elwood Hammerstrom and R.F. Searight and appeared in “The Brain in a Jar” (Weird Tales, Nov. 1924).

The Brain is a Brain in a Jar. A French spy is captured by the villainous German Mad Scientist Dr. Jaeger and turned into a Brain in a Jar. Unfortunately for Dr. Jaeger, the process gives the Brain psychic powers, from telepathy to mind control to teleportation. Fortunately, the Brain is not evil, but only desires to die, which it does after killing Dr. Jaeger.
