Tharps, William. William Tharps was created by the French authors Georges Meirs (Walter Clark, Irma Vep) and J.M. Darros and appeared in Les Aventures de William Tharps, le Détective Anglais Célébré #1-26 (1912-1914); the series was reprinted in Italy in 1914.

William Tharps is a Great Detective. He is a British doctor who is Watsoned by the lawyer Pastor Lynham. The pair work out of Paris and appear in stories with titles like “The Tragic Opal,” “The Fatal Pearl,” and “The Mysterious Sign.”
