Red Rose. The Red Rose was created by Margery Allingham (Albert Campion) and appeared in eight stories in Weekly Welcome (Feb 15-Apr 5 1930).

The Red Rose is a Costumed Avenger Lupin. Betty Connolly is a beautiful young woman who becomes so upset at the eight financiers who "ruined her Lancashire town" that she becomes the costumed criminal and vigilante, the Red Rose. She carries out a series of crimes to avenge herself on the financiers, and she leaves a single red rose behind at the scenes of her crimes. She’s entirely too clever for the police, especially Tommy, the agent in charge of the investigation who is also in love with Betty Connolly. When she is done avenging herself, she agrees to marry him.
