Martin, George. George Martin was created by “Francis Beeding,” the pseudonym of John Leslie Palmer (Ronald Briercliffe, Alastair Granby, Professor Kreutzmark, Inspector Wilkins (I)) and Hilary Aiden St. George Saunders (Ronald Briercliffe, Alastair Granby, Professor Kreutzmark, Inspector Wilkins (I)), and appeared in The Norwich Victims (1935), No Fury (1936), and He Could Not Have Slipped (1939).

George Martin is an Inspector for Scotland Yard. He is active in London and in Norwich. Martin is middle-class, intelligent, and cheerful, and is Watsoned by his Cockney colleague James Crosby.
