Legionnaire (I) is a Legionnaire. German, he has adventures with the Legion across Africa and Asia. He defeats the the Pirates of the Sahara, bandits in China, deserters in Casablanca, "the French Seducer," fanatical Muslims in Algiers, "the Voice of Allah," "the War of Sidi Tuan," the Algerian Mahdi (who takes the Legionnaire prisoner), and "the Vampire of the Sahara." Legionnaire (I) appears in stories with titles like “The Horror of Oman,” “Wanderings in China,” and “The Black Death.”
