Keen, Gable. Gable Keen was created by “Earle Danesford,” the pseudonym of F. Addington Symonds (Curtis Carr, Dixon Hawke), and appeared in six stories in Chums in 1930, beginning with “Words and Music” (Chums, Nov. 4, 1930).

Gable Keen is a Great Detective modeled on Sexton Blake. However, Keen’s adventures are more fantastic than Blake’s, and involve such things as Yellow Perils and trips to Mars. Keen appears in stories with titles like, "The Riddle of the Phantom Crime," "The Riddle of the Hat," and "The Mystery of the Black Shapes."
