Joyce, Michael. Michael Joyce was created by Louis Cornell and appeared in Poison Case Number 10 (1931) and Murder Case Number 33 (1932).

Michael Joyce is an Irish-American private detective who owns the Joyce Detective Agency, located on Broadway in New York. He is in his fifties and is described as “the greatest private detective in America.” He is “cheerful, wry, grizzled,” and “rich with blarney.” He has a private museum of antique, deadly weapons.
