Carter, Fred. Fred Carter was created by the German author Paul Rosenhayn (Joe Jenkins, Lee Parry, Fred Walker (II)) and appeared in at least three stories in Detektiv Schlager Bibliothek in 1922 and possibly 1923, possibly beginning with “Anna Karenina, Die Bolschewistin” (Detektiv Schlager Bibliothek, 1922).

Fred Carter is a hard-boiled private detective active in Berlin. He appears in stories with titles like “The Woman Without a Wednesday,” “A Leap in the Night,” and “The Devil’s Double.”
