Brandon, Henley. Henley Brandon was created by H.T. Webster Worrell and appeared in “The Chronicles of Henley Brandon, Aviator” (The English Illustrated Magazine, Jan-June 1913).

Henley Brandon is a wealthy English aviator, at a time when few, even the English Secret Service, have airplanes. So, naturally, he is asked to carry out various tasks for the Secret Service, such as transporting valuable diplomatic documents to embassies in foreign countries, despite attempts by the enemy, on the ground and in the air, to secure the document or kill Brandon. Other times, he is involved, too late, in the foolish attempts of women to fly (for in Brandon’s world women are too emotional for a task such as flying).
