Rackman. The Mansfield family live a secluded life on an island off Cape Cod. Craig Mansfield, the son, refuses to follow his father’s cutthroat capitalist ways, and is disowned. He goes to the mainland and becomes the crime-fighting Rackman, so-called because he has spring-like stilts (“racks”) under his clothes. These allow him to adjust his height, from his normal three feet to six feet to nine feet tall. He appears in stories with titles like “Safari Will Not Rest In Peace,” “The Salem Witches,” and “Malice in Miniature.”
First Appearance: Clue Comics #12 (Hillman), Feb 1947. 8 appearances, 1947. Created by Fred Guardineer.
