Pyroman. Dick Martin, who is studying electrical engineering, is accidentally exposed to a large amount of electricity, and then arrested for an arson and a murder that he did not commit. He is convicted and executed, but his electrocution does not kill him, instead giving him superpowers: an electrified body, the ability to form electric force fields, and the ability to shoot lightning bolts from his hands. He uses his new abilities to stop crime and fight German agents, but he is wanted by the police and must hide his identity. Pyroman fights evil men like Venomi and his Black Boas, Schneubel (who uses a weapon to recreate Mars’ environment in America), Dr. Fosfor and his semi-sentient living flame, and would-be world-conqueror Dr. Zucca and his city-destroying “Tornado.” He appears in stories with titles like "The Saboteurs of Steel," “The Living Fire of Dr. Fosfor” and "The Deadly Dwarf."
