Miller, Pen. “’Pen’ Miller, famous comic magazine cartoonist, is also an amateur detective of wide reputation…having placed such notorious killers as ‘Nokky’ Ryan, ‘Gouge’ Cahill, etc, behind bars. He is feared, but respected by the underworld….” He is assisted by his racist stereotype Chinese houseboy Niki (later “Chop Chu”). He appears in stories with titles like “Cobalt the Chemist,” “The Sinister Swamp Camp,” and “Who is the Question Mark?”
