Nyoka. Nyoka, the daughter of the scholar and explorer Dr. Gordon, is brought to Africa and raised there. He disappears, and she grows up under the care of the natives. As an adult she stays in Africa, fighting for justice in a series of standard African adventures. She has no superpowers but is a good fighter, tracker, and shot. She is assisted by the adventurer Larry Grayson. Nyoka fights a variety of criminals including gorillas with human brains and Vultura, the queen of a band of Arabian outlaws, whose bodyguard is a giant gorilla named Satan. She appears in stories with titles like "Voodoo Hoodoo," "The Hairless Horror," and "The Terrible Zarsnik Fly."
