Great Defender. Stormy Foster is a meek, small, timid and frail clerk in a pharmacy when he accidentally discovers a “super vitamin pill.” When he takes the pill he gains great strength and invulnerability. Foster keeps up the façade of a meek pharmacy clerk and puts on a costume and fights crime as the Great Defender. He fights the Japanese, Mad Scientists, and German spies, and is assisted by the Chinese racist stereotype Ah Choo. Foster appears in stories with titles like “The Mad Doctor’s Super-Gang,” “The Four Feathers of Death,” and “Scourge of the Skyscraper.”
