Captain Flight. Bill is an inventor and top pilot. Initially he invents a “microbe plane” (pilotless drone) which is stolen and mass-produced by a tiny European country for war against its enemy. Bill, co-pilot Clark, and lover Lily manage to shoot down the “flying fortress” which controls the fleet of drones. Bill goes on to fight against the Axis in World War Two, both Germany and Japan. In addition to his skill as a pilot, he has invented a “magic machine gun” for his planes. Occasionally Flight will fight technologically-advanced Axis enemies. He appears in stories with titles like “The Murder Maestro” and “The Isle of Missing Men.”
